2024 Recap: Key Moments from Powerful Marketers

In this 2024 recap, Mari-Liis Vaher reflects on the year’s milestones and the incredible growth of the Powerful Marketers community. From inspiring in-person gatherings to global virtual meetups, impactful training programs, and engaging speaking events, 2024 has been a year of connection, learning, and collaboration. This article highlights the key moments and achievements that have defined the year, showcasing how the collective efforts of marketers have made this journey truly special.

In this 2024 recap, it’s incredible to see how far we’ve come as a community. This year was filled with inspiring connections, impactful events, and meaningful growth.

From in-person gatherings to virtual meetups, conferences, and podcasting, every highlight reminds us of the power of shared knowledge and collaboration. Let’s take a journey through the moments that defined our year, a celebration of learning, community, and progress.

Monthly in-person Gatherings

Our monthly in-person gatherings brought us to 11 incredible companies and industries, Mövenpick Hotel Tallinn, Elamus Spa, Werkado, Telia, WOW Events, RuaCrew, AVANG Keskus, Moodne Valgustus, Kruze Disain, Kuusakoski, and Tallink City Hotel, each generously hosting us and sharing their insights. Together, we explored 11 marketing-related topics such as “Social Media Trends,” “Building LinkedIn,” and “Sustainability in Marketing,” with 110 participants joining us throughout the year.

The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with an average rating of 9.48/10. Most attendees scored the events as 9 or 10 on a 10-point scale, and not a single participant rated below 7.

The Net Promoter Score (NPS) stands at an impressive 87.5%, reflecting the value and inspiration these gatherings have provided. A heartfelt thanks to all our hosts for making these events possible.

Virtual Meetups

On the global stage, our virtual meetups continued to unite community members from around the world, with participants joining from the US, Austria, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, and the UK.

These weekly and bi-weekly sessions offered a consistent space for support, collaboration, and shared learning, reinforcing the strength of our marketing community.

Trainings and Workshops

This year also marked significant achievements in trainings and workshops. At Starfish, I had the privilege of delivering program that earned an average feedback score of 4.95/5. Through these sessions, companies built smarter systems to lead and manage, aligning marketing and sales in a way that drives measurable results.

Another highlight was working as a Sales and Marketing Development Trainer with Tallinn School of Service. Over the course of two comprehensive training programs for the hospitality industry, participants honed their skills in strategic planning, customer segmentation, sales optimization, and loyalty program development.

These sessions, rated 9.58/10 on average, were a testament to the participants’ dedication and the actionable insights shared. Witnessing their growth and enthusiasm was truly rewarding.

Conferences and Speaking Events

Our conferences and speaking events have been another avenue for sharing insights and fostering inspiration. From the Marbella conference to events hosted by Costa Women in Spain, Starfish in Estonia, Entrepreneurial Estonian Women’s Club in Sweden, TalTech BestEstonia, and Sotsiaalkindlustusamet in Estonia, each platform was an opportunity to discuss key themes from our book: how to work smarter, not harder; how to approach different personality types in sales and marketing; and how to elevate your networking skills.

Connecting with entrepreneurial women in Sweden and beyond has been a particularly enriching experience, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share and learn alongside such dynamic audiences.

Podcasting and HUB Hosting

This year, podcasting and HUB hosting have also been at the heart of our efforts to foster a sense of belonging and shared purpose. Memorable podcast guests like Alan Stevens, Laura Kassin, Bob Burg & Jeff C West, Terry Bean, and Aditya Varanasi brought incredible insights and inspiration to our listeners, while our HUB members created a vibrant space for growth and connection.
